Hyperlocal pollen forecasts for allergy sufferers
Allergy sufferers need precise, street-level pollen predictions to plan daily activities. Existing apps use broad regions; demand spikes during high-pollen warnings. I built a navigation app that displays weather along the route
Hello HN,I live in northern part of USA where winters are snowy. Whenever I took long trips, I always wondered what the weather along the route is going to be. For those who live in northern USA, you know weather can change frequently, so when you're traveling matters a lot, not just the route. To solve this problem for myself, I built https://navimodo.com/. NaviModo calculates the route, and then checks weather along the route based on your start time, and displays weather along the route. Change start time, and the whole thing is recalculated.I am not expecting any commercialization for this, just wanted to scratch an itch, and just did it. I have ideas for adding additional features (suggestions for when to take breaks based on bad weather, auto-suggestion of start time to avoid bad weather, etc.,) but will add more as time goes by.Any feedback is welcome!

BAREmail – minimalist Gmail client for bad WiFi
I've been frustrated one too many times by terrible airplane wifi and not being able to load Gmail or Superhuman when all I want to do is get a few simple text-only emails out the door. These clients have become pretty bloated with the assumption you've always got great bandwidth. So I vibe coded BAREMAIL. It's open source, has no backend, and you can just set it up for yourself. Takes ~3 mins to setup API access via Google Cloud Platform (thanks for making this not super easy Google!)I tried to maintain nice design and some important keyboard shortcuts without getting to overBEARing.

Screen recordings are tedious to edit and share, wasting hours on post-production work
Professionals and teams constantly record screen videos to explain processes, provide feedback, or document workflows, but raw recordings are cluttered with mistakes, pauses, and filler. They either spend hours editing in expensive software or share messy videos that damage their credibility. This creates friction in communication and delays knowledge sharing across organizations.

Knowledge workers lose focus switching between apps and typing, slowing down their workflow
Professionals constantly interrupt their work to type, switch applications, and search for information, breaking concentration and reducing productivity. Typing at 40-60 wpm is significantly slower than natural speech at 150+ wpm, creating a bottleneck between thought and execution. Current solutions require manual app switching, formatting, and searching, costing hours weekly in context switching and lost momentum.
