Model request: DeepSeek V4 Series

> We present a preview version of [DeepSeek-V4 series](https://huggingface.co/collections/deepseek-ai/deepseek-v4), including two strong Mixture-of-Experts (MoE) language models — DeepSeek-V4-Pro with 1.6T parameters (49B activated) and DeepSeek-V4-Flash with 284B parameters (13B activated) — both supporting a context length of one million tokens. It would be great to run DeepSeek V4 with llama.cpp!

DeepSeek V4 offers extremely large-scale MoE language models with unprecedented token context length, targeting advanced AI tool users.

The pain

Current large language models are limited by context length and parameter activation, restricting their ability to handle very long documents or complex tasks efficiently.

The gap

There is a lack of publicly accessible, extremely large-scale MoE models that support ultra-long context windows and can be run on open-source platforms like llama.cpp.

Build angle

Focus on validating demand among AI researchers and developers for ultra-long context MoE models and ensure compatibility with popular open-source inference tools to lower adoption barriers.

Strengths

  • Supports extremely long context length (1 million tokens), far beyond typical models.
  • Large-scale MoE architecture with selective parameter activation improves efficiency.
  • Open-source availability on Hugging Face increases accessibility.
  • Potential to integrate with llama.cpp, a popular lightweight inference engine.

Risks

  • Very high computational requirements may limit practical usability.
  • Niche target audience primarily composed of AI researchers and advanced developers.
  • Unclear performance and stability at scale without extensive real-world testing.
  • Integration with llama.cpp may face technical challenges or performance bottlenecks.
