Ranet3 – High performance policy routed IPsec mesh SD-WAN

btw this is already running on all my machines (including a macbook), and i've configured all of them to have routable public ip addresses ;)especially for the mac, my ISP is SFR (over coaxial connection) with only dynamic ipv4, i can use this to get stable v4/v6 addresses very easily for all my devices behind the routerios/android app soon^{TM}

A high-performance IPsec mesh SD-WAN tool providing stable public IP routing for devices behind dynamic ISP connections.

The pain

Users with dynamic IP addresses struggle to maintain stable, routable IPs for remote access and secure networking across devices.

The gap

Existing solutions are complex, expensive, or limited in platform support, leaving a gap for a lightweight, cross-platform mesh VPN with policy routing.

Build angle

The founder can leverage deep technical skills to build and iterate the product quickly, focusing on cross-platform compatibility and ease of use.

Strengths

  • Technical feasibility demonstrated with existing multi-device deployment
  • Addresses a real pain point for users with dynamic IPs
  • Cross-platform support including macOS and soon mobile apps

Risks

  • Niche market with unclear willingness to pay
  • Competition from established VPN and SD-WAN providers
  • Limited clarity on go-to-market and monetization strategy
